I came to rescue from animal services when I was a puppy. I had come from a hoarding situation. I sat at animal services for a few weeks. Lots of people looked at me but sadly no one adopted me. I was headed for the euthanasia list when From the Heart said they would take me. I was adopted into a home where I was loved and adored as a member of the family for several years.
Through no fault of my own I am back in rescue. They had a baby and no longer wanted to take care of me. I would love to find a new family that will love me forever!
I am a very sweet girl. I love playing running and going for walks. I also love snuggling in bed! Snuggling is my favorite. I am a little shy around new people I don't know but I am very loyal to the people that love me and take care of me. I am very affectionate! Once I know you're my person you're my person forever!
I get along with other dogs. But it does take me awhile to get use to new dogs so my family would need to be willing to help me with that. I will need a home with no small children. I would do best in a home with no kids or with older kids. I don't like my tail being pulled by little hands!
My foster family has also learned that I suffer from a lot of anxiety. Both crate and thunderstorm/loud noise anxiety. I cannot be placed in a crate, I do just fine being left loose in the house. And thunderstorms and loud noises really scare me. So my family will need to be able to help keep me calm and reassure me that the sky isn't falling when all that noise is happening.
Because of some of Callie's quirks, it has been decided that she will stay with our rescue until it is her time to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
