Over 80% of the animals with which From The Heart Animal Rescue works are those others have either rejected or would euthanize -- it may be because of injury or illness, because the animal needs bottle-feeding, or because the pet is a senior. No matter from where the dog comes, each animal is given individualized care, rehabilitated and medically treated as necessary, then placed for adoption into a permanent, loving home.
Animals are constantly seeking our assistance. The decision as to who lives and who dies, just because we can’t afford to accept a dog when the need arises, is a heart-breaking one!

Donations in Memoriam:
A donor may wish to make a gift in memoriam of a family member, valued friend, or pet.
Direct Gift of Appreciated Securities:
This method conserves the donor’s cash while helping to avoid capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated securities. The market value of the securities is deductible in the current year’s tax return. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
Direct Gifts of Life Insurance:
If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer required, transferring the policy to the From The Heart Rescue may provide benefits to both From The Heart Rescue and the donor. The Trust would ultimately collect the policy value and the donor may be entitled to an income tax deduction in the amount of the policy’s value. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
Wills:
The donor may list From The Heart Rescue as a beneficiary in their will. The distribution of the estate is then made at the donor’s death.
As an all-volunteer organization, for every dollar donated, 100% go towards the cost of care for the dogs we have in foster homes. From the basics like vaccinations and medications, to specialty surgery for broken legs, gun shot wounds, or other serious injuries. Our modest administration fees and fundraising efforts are paid through adoption fees.
From The Heart Rescue is a community of supporters and volunteers passionate about making a difference to the lives of dogs in need, erasing the scars of their past lives, and giving them a second chance at love. The dogs come to us generally as strays and from shelters, or as senior dogs that have found themselves homeless due to death or incapacity of their owners.
