GiGi or Javalina as her foster family calls her, found herself with her sister at the shelter after her human mom passed away. Their mom's husband tried to give them away to another rescue in the area, but the rescue was full and asked the man if he could hold onto the girls for a couple of weeks while they made space. He said he could not. Later that day they were both picked up as strays and taken to the shelter.
The shelter put out a plea for help. Her sister, NaNa, had a seizure in the AC truck on the way to the shelter and they knew she may need medical help. (Thankfully it seems she was just overheated and has not had another seizure since.) From the Heart couldn't pull one without the other, so we set about to finding a little more room. 2 of our wonderful foster homes made just enough space to welcome these senior ladies.
Javalina LOVES to cuddle. So far, she hasn't met a stranger-human or dog. She is very easy going and would be happy sitting with you watching TV or supervising your gardening skills. Javalina also enjoys a good belly rub.
Javaline will NOT walk on leash so, if you are looking for a walking buddy, she is not the dog for you. Her foster has tried many times to take her on a walk, but she just lays down and refuses to move. Javalina is an old lady and has decided life is for naps and cuddles.
