Poor Esther was picked up as a stray running the streets of El Paso. It was clear she had been neglected as she was nearly naked from mange. One of our volunteers saw her at the shelter and just couldn't walk away. She could see how beautiful Esther would be come with a good nutrition and TLC. Right now Esther is working on getting healthy and growing back her fur. We expect her to be looking for her next adventure soon.
We have discovered that Esther has allergies. She will need to be on a NO chicken diet. Right now, she is doing very well on a hydrolyzed prescription diet. She also needs to be on DAILY allergy medicine from the vet. We have tried the normal allergy medicines and they do not work. If you cannot commit to these requirements for Esther, please take a look at some of our other dogs that don't have these kinds of requirements.
