Hi! My Name Is Biscuit

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Biscuit was picked up as a VERY pregnant stray. Another area rescue pulled her from the shelter but when she began having complications giving birth, they returned her to the shelter. The shelter called From the Heart to see if we could help. We said yes without even having a place to put her. We couldn't leave her in distress. Sometimes you just say "yes" and hope the pieces fall into place.

Biscuit only gave birth to one stillborn puppy. But that one puppy took everything she had. She was so weak that she had to be hospitalized for fluids for a couple of days.

Right now she is resting and getting her strength back. We will have her spayed so she never has to go through that horrible ordeal again.

Please spay and neuter your pets. We hear so many times that an owner wants their pet to experience being a mom or for them to have just one puppy. Trust us your pet does not want to be a mom. She does not want any puppies. If Biscuit had not been found and brought to the shelter, if she had gone into labor in the wild, she more than likely would have died. Labor is very hard on animals. Spare them the pain and get them spay and neutered.
