Fraggle was picked up as a stray and taken to the shelter. There they discovered she had a HUGE inguinal hernia that needed urgent surgery. Her intestines, bladder and spleen were caught in the hernia. The very next day her bladder pushed through a hernia on the other side! So 2 major surgeries in 2 days.
Fraggle was so crusty and itchy that the vet did a skin scrape and found she had Demodex mange(non-contagious). This girl was a mess.
One of our foster homes took her home, gave her a bath, slathered her in coconut oil, put some jammies on her, and Fraggle fell asleep before dinner.
Fraggle is now mange free and healthy, and she is looking for her Furever family. Right now she is enjoying sun bathing and all the extra attention her special baths get her.
PUPDATE: We had moved Fraggle to the adoptable list and a week later she tore her CCL. So she has been moved back to the "Recovery Room". Hopefully she will be ready for adoption again when she is healed from surgery in 4-6 weeks.
