Fred

Hi! My Name Is Fred

We're happy to tell you that Fred has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

I came to rescue after winding up at animal services when my previous owner moved and abandoned me in the house!

When I first meet new people, I prefer to keep to myself and learn the lay of the land before making friends. So, I will need a "fur"ever family that will be willing to accept me into their home and allow me to just be me for a week or two while I get comfortable in my new surroundings.

Once I figure out who everyone is and where my favorite spots are, I do begin to open up and make friends. You see having been abandoned before makes it hard for me to trust new things. So, I have to know for sure that my new family won't give up on me before I can relax.

But if you are willing to be patient with me, I will show you my softer side and even smile for you!

--When we took Fred for his vet exam it was discovered that he was Heartworm positive. He has been treated and will be required to be on monthly Heartworm prevention, like all of our dogs.
