Luna was found on the side of a very busy four-lane road. We were told that she hadn't moved from the same spot for at least two hours and we were concerned that she might have been hit by a car. So even though she had no visible injuries, we took her right to the vet to make sure that she was okay inside and out. Luckily, she was fine, except for being scared, hungry and infested with ticks and fleas. She had no chip or tags and no owner showed up to claim her. She's a bit shy but very sweet. We are just getting to know Luna and will have more to say about her later on after she has been with us awhile and has been thoroughly vetted. She is now relaxing in one of our foster homes and getting lots of rest and loving care.
Update: Luna tested positive for Ehrlichia and Heartworms. She is currently being treated.
Luna will need a secure fence at least 6 feet high.
