Rufus was picked up as a stray and it was clear that he had been through some rough times. He had bite wounds, and his eye was out of socket. Any injury to the eye is painful and needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. The shelter understood this and reached out to see if we had room. We were able to secure a wonderful foster home and got him to the vet. His eye was beyond repair and was removed that day.
Rufus went into his foster home and began to recover. He lives with other dogs and loves car rides.
Rufus still needs to finish up his vet visits and then he will be looking for his forever home.
