Hi - my name is Walton - and I'm a dog fostered in El Paso - TX! I came to rescue after I was found as a stray. I went to the shelter - but no owners ever came for me. It appeared that I had a mouth injury so the shelter called From The Heart to see if they had any room for me. Luckily - a foster home volunteered to take me in! I went to the vet where my "dreadlocks" (aka HORRIBLY matted fur) was shaved off. We discovered that my jaw had been broken at some point and went untreated. Infection ate away at my jaw bone which diminished it in parts. Unfortunately - my wound is old and healed now so there's nothing that can be done to repair it. Fortunately - the infection is all gone and I'm healthy and eating just fine. I also had a dental where 6 rotten teeth were removed. I'm feeling so much better now! I'm super friendly! I'm the kind of dog that will literally jump into your arms! I love LOVE snuggling and attention. I also have quite a bit of energy and like to run around.
