Hi - my name is Zorro - and I'm a dog fostered in El Paso - TX!
Animal control picked me up as a stray and took me to animal services. No one ever came to claim me so watched other dogs find homes of their own - and I continued to sit - waiting patiently.
From The Heart got the phone call that too many animals were being surrendered just after Christmas and the shelter was overwhelming full. Animals were going to be euthanized because there just wasn't enough room or supplies for the hundreds and hundreds of animals under their care.
A nice foster home with From The Heart said "yes!" to fostering so that a life could be saved. My foster mom with From The Heart said we are going to look for a forever family for me!
I'm a very sweet boy - and it's clear that I have been through a lot in my short life. It takes me some time to adjust and trust - but once I love you - I will love you forever! My foster mom said I am the happiest boy in the world when I see her get home from work. I come a-running! She said I'm going to bring so much joy to whoever adopts me.
I am a very quiet fellow. I like to lounge around the house. I live with other dogs and do very well with them. I like to play a little bit - and I don't like to get very rowdy.
I will need a patient family that will love me for being me and will give me time to adjust and trust. I am learning to accept love and head pats and kisses - but it is still intimidating to me because I've never had that in my life before!
